Why Repurposed (Recycled) Mixed Media?

While walking my dogs I explore the neighborhoods of Southeast Denver with a sense of being in the “now” to uncover and see - what is garbage to some – objects transformable into wearable artistic creations. I search for “discarded objects” that are calling out to be made desirable again. As a self-described Dumpster Diva, I love to recycle and transform old stuff into new by cutting, connecting, reworking, and fitting abandoned items into a creation with a new purpose.
