What is Metal Clay?

Metal Clay consists of powdered silver, bronze, copper, white bronze or steel mixed with an organic binder.  It feels like clay.  When you shape it, dry it, and then fire it, the end result is 99% fine silver, or copper, bronze, white bronze or steel in the same shape you created, with no binder.  Amazing! Fantastic and fun!

Offered by Leav Bolender, Licensed Art Educator, PMC Level I Certified, Art Clay Certified.

Beginner's Silver Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p. m. in my studio in Denver.

(Class tuition: $145.00 which includes all materials, 8 hrs. of instruction, use of tools, handouts, and firing of metal clay pieces. Additional silver may be purchased if desired.)

You may pay with cash, check.

Class sizes are limited and fill early.  Make checks payable to Leav Bolender. (Call or email me so I can forward my mailing address and directions to the studio. 303-547-8774, leavbolender@comcast.net)

Tuition is non-refundable but in the case of emergency or illness

can be transfered to another class when space is available.

At the end of class you will have two or more finished pieces to take home, not to mention

meeting new people and having fun!

In the Introduction Class you will learn:  easy design ideas and fundamentals,

the fundamental techniques for working with Metal Clay (lump, syringe, paste),

proper use of tools, how to create  and use a silicon mold, how to create textured pendants,
